Collection: Black Tea

Black tea is made from the fully oxidized leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant.  This means that  (unlike green tea) the leaves are left exposed to air at a controlled temperature and humidity.  This oxidation process allows a chemical reaction to form two antioxidant components - theaflavins and thearubigins.  These components provide black tea with a unique flavour, deep colour, and possible health benefits.
